Why I Started Get Glossy
It started with a simple question from a friend celebrating her 40th at The Grand Hotel in Brighton:
“Can you find someone to come to my room and do my hair and makeup?”
You’d think that would be easy — but after scrolling through endless salon listings, making calls, and sending emails, I couldn’t find anyone available. There was no simple way to check who was free and just book.
So I stepped in — hair tools and makeup brushes in hand — and did it myself.
What started as a favour quickly became a really special moment — calm, joyful, and memorable. That’s when it hit me: there was a real gap in the market for high-quality, on-demand beauty services in Brighton. Visitors, event organisers, and locals all needed access to professional hair and makeup — without the stress of calling around or leaving their location.
Having someone arrive at your convenience, exactly when you need them, changes everything. It removes the stress, adds ease, and allows you to actually enjoy getting ready — whether it’s for a wedding, a birthday, or a night out.
And So, Get Glossy Was Born
And so, in that suite at The Grand Hotel — surrounded by makeup brushes, hair tools, and a view of the sea — the idea for Get Glossy was born. My friend and I clinked glasses, bubbles in hand, unknowingly toasting the beginning of something special.

We’re a luxury mobile beauty concierge service offering hair, makeup, and holistic beauty treatments in homes, hotels, and venues across the city. Whether it’s a wedding, party, photoshoot, work event, or the need to unwind with a restorative massage — we bring polished, high-end experiences directly to you.
Since launching, we’ve had the pleasure of supporting countless weddings, birthday celebrations, hotel guests, and corporate events — all with the same aim: to make professional beauty services seamless, accessible, and beautifully delivered.
We’ve even returned to The Grand Hotel to get guests ready for their special occasions — though we’ve yet to step back into the suite where Get Glossy was born. Perhaps one day, returning to that room will mark another special moment in our story.
